ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER: Carlos Torres

Carlos is a genuine visual storyteller, director of photography and award winning editor.
He was born the son of a frustrated filmmaker and photography teacher in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
Tagging along as his Dad shot his twin reflex camera(a Mamiya C330 he still owns) Carlos learned the nuts and bolts at a young age, along with an appreciation for great photography. College brought him to the states, where he initially earned a degree in aviation management, a pilot’s license, and later continued his education in the visual arts.

After 10 years in the aviation industry he swapped the air for the airwaves, at first working in the technical and promotion side of commercial television and most recently in Corporate Communications for NISSAN North America. A self-taught musician, Carlos has also composed original music for productions by Nashville’s WSMV-TV , Tier One Media, Genuine Human Productions, NISSAN and others. He has an unquenchable thirst for new technology and classic still photography. During his off time he volunteers his expertise to a charity in Haiti to support their mission and help bring awareness.  Carlos is married to Tina with 2 daughters, Hannah and Zellie, and two large Newfies named Roxy and Lola and a rescue pooch named Freya.
